Support Workers Up to 37.5 hrs per week – £13.85 p/h (under review)

To provide respectful, person-centred support to adults and children with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs and/or experiencing mental health issues.

To represent and promote Equal People mencap’s inclusive ethos and values in all of your work and interactions with others.

To work to support individuals towards their desired outcomes as part of a team guided by shared, agreed support plans and risk assessments.

To enable each individual to participate as fully as they wish in community life and to

·       communicate and action their wishes and aims

·       build and maintain relationships

·       be treated with dignity and respect

·       increase self-confidence and independence

·       participate in and contribute to the community in a valued and meaningful way

·       have access to health and social care services and activities and healthy living options

·       be aware of risk and consequence

·       be safe from abuse.
